Info on Gdańsk and conference venue
Gdańsk is part of the Tricity, a polycentric metropolis in northern Poland comprising also Sopot and Gdynia. The area is home to over 1 million people and covers 1,102 km². It is situated on the Bay of Gdańsk, the agglomeration is one of the country’s key economic, cultural and scientific hubs.
The city of Gdańsk is inhabited by about 500.000 people, it is best known for its architecture of the Old Town, which forms a Gothic-Renaissance ensemble with a character unique in Europe. Shaped over centuries by the influence of Hanseatic merchant culture, it is distinguished by Gothic brick churches (such as St. Mary’s Basilica) and richly decorated, narrow townhouses featuring their famous entrance terraces along prestigious streets like Długa and Mariacka.
University of Gdańsk is a state university created in 1970, and despite its young history its is one of the leading universities in Poland.
The conference venue is the Faculty of Languages (Wydział filologiczny) in the main campus, in the university building dubbed Neofilologia (the three-story building in the forefront of the picture.
The Conference registration desk will be in the main hall.

How to get to us?
By train to Gdańsk Przymorze-Uniwersytet (a walking distance from the main campus). A Fast Metropolitan Railway (SKM) connects the three cities.
A tram stop for lines 2, 5, 6, 8, and 12 is located in the immediate vicinity of the university.

Central Hotel Gdańsk (close to the main railway station (Gdańsk Główny) and a walking distance to the Old Town).

Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN) is located approximately 10–14 km from the center of Gdańsk (depending on the exact starting point and the chosen route). Under favorable conditions, the journey to the city center typically takes about 15–25 minutes by car or around 25–30 minutes by train.
