a. to develop linguistic skills required to comprehend technical texts written in Polish and English languages to an extent allowing for translation

b. to provide students with information about the characteristic features of technical texts

c. to teach students of standards, methods and solutions that can be applied to provide translation services related to technical texts, including MT tools and post-editing strategies

d. to introduce elements of business competitiveness, such as fees, self-employment, self-marketing, service delivery. Develop communicative skills of students that may help them in negotiations with clients, PMs and other members of a typical translation team
