1. Name of the course: Translation es-pl / de-pl

2. Purpose of the course:

a. to simulate translation practice to raise students’ linguistic competence in the field of both receptive skills (listening comprehension,

reading comprehension) and productive skills (speaking and writing) in Spanish or German

b. to develop and master practical strategies for basic written translation from Spanish or German into Polish

c.to develop skills necessary to make appropriate choices of translation strategies and techniques, as well as the tools necessary for a critical assessment of translated texts

c. to familiarize students with the social and cultural realities of Spanish or German speaking countries

a. audiovisual Translation

b. journalism texts

c. business and marketing texts

d. literary translation

4. Didactic methods used:

a. discussion

b. group work

c. problem solving

d. simulation games

5. Graduate’s profile:

a. A person able to translate basic texts from Spanish or German into Polish, aware of various useful techniques and methods used during the translation process.
