b. to develop practical AVT skills required to provide subtitling services on the translation market and acquaint students with a typical subtitling software - Subtitle Edit

c. to provide students with tools required for practical analysis of an audiovisual texts required to provide audiovisual translation of the highest possible quality

d. to introduce elements of business competitiveness, such as fees, self-employment, self-marketing, service delivery. Develop communicative skills of students that may help them in negotiations with clients, PMs and other members of a typical translation team
