WYKŁAD PROF. WERNERA SOLLORSA
Wszyscy ludzie zostali stworzeni równymi...
Beginning with the composition and signing of the Declaration itself, this survey of pious and irreverent uses of the most famous phrases of the Declaration in American literature and culture ranges from the Massachusetts freedom suits, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Luther King to adaptations by the suffrage and labor movements and by immigrants. It ends with twentieth-century parodies by H.L. Mencken and in the bureaucratese style of Eisenhower.
Consent and Descent in American Culture(1986), Neither Black Nor White Yet Both. Thematic Explorations of Interracial Literature (1997) i Ethnic Modernism (2008). Ponadto prof. Sollors jest, wraz z Greilem Marcusem, współredaktorem A New Literary History of America (2009).
