Katedra Prawa Europejskiego I Komparatystyki Prawniczej wraz z British Law Center mają zaszczyt zaprosić na otwarty wykład:
 
 Brexit po drugiej stronie: z perspektywy wtajemniczonego w spór sądowy o Brexit.
 
Wykład odbędzie się 27 maja 2019 na WPiA UG w audytorium C w godzinach. 17.30-19.
 
Wykład składać się będzie z  dwóch wystąpień:  Annelie Howard oraz Georga Peretz.

Szanowni goście zgodzili się przyjąć nasze zaproszenie aby podzielić się swoim doświadczeniami w sprawach sądowych w szczególności w kontekście zastosowania art. 50 TFUE przed Brytyjskim Sądem Najwyższym oraz Trybunałem Sprawiedliwości UE. Wystąpienia skoncentrują się na przedstawieniu argumentacji prezentowanej przed sądami krajowymi oraz  unijnymi. Wartością tego spotkania będzie przedstawienie skutecznych technik reprezentowania klientów stosowanych w systemie common law.
  
  • Former Référendaire at the European Court of Justice (working with UK judge David Edward).
  • Standing Counsel to the Civil Aviation Authority
  • Member of the Attorney General’s  Panel for Public/ Administrative Law and Public International Law
  • Acted as legal counsel in inter alia the following ground-breaking cases concerning EU law:
    • Wightman v Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union [2018] (Case C‑621/18) – before CJEU
    • R (Miller) v Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union [2017] UK Supreme Court
    • Adrian Yalland and Peter Wilding v SSEU (Article 127 EEA proceedings) – with George Peretz QC
  • Advises on a wide range of competition law issues and state aid (inc. EU competition law)
  • Joint Convenor of the UK State Aid Law Association .
  • Frequently appears before the European Court of Justice and EU General Court (and has been involved in a number of landmark decisions decided by those courts).
  • Frequently represents clients before the UK’s Supreme Court
  • Part-time Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber).
  • Acted as lead counsel in Adrian Yalland and Peter Wilding v SSEU (Article 127 EEA proceedings) – with Annelie Howard as his junior counsel
